Deye and Sunsynk: Time of Use Settings

This is a brief explanation of the time of use settings on the DEYE and sunsync inverters:

There are six time base looped settings over a 24-hour period these, settings will repeat daily.

Basic setup information:

It is very important to make sure that the “Time Of Use” is activated with the tick mark present in the box.

Grid charge:

When activated during the specific time-based period, the inverter will use the grid, if it’s available, to assist charging of the battery when PV power is not sufficient.

The generator charge box:

When activated the generator will assist charging of the batteries during grid outages and when PV power is not sufficient.

Battery state of charge box:

The grid or generator when activated during the timeline will assist charging the battery until the state of charge value entered in the box is reached. Only extra available PV power will charge the batteries above this value up to 100%.

Time based lines:

Six adjustable user time settings are available for site specific needs. (please keep midnight pass through at default timeline. We have found that changing this pass through to another line may cause system instability )

Adjustable power limits:

This value will limit the battery charge and discharging Power by the Grid or generator during the specific timeline. When there are more than one battery units in parallel, it is recommended to charge the batteries fully for at least 1 hour per day. This will assist to keep the battery’s state of charge levels at the same level.

Power stored in the batteries can be used to supply the loads at night to assist in additional power savings. Although care should be taken to ensure keeping enough storage power available in the case of a power outage. Settings will be site specific according to the client’s individual needs.
