FAQ
As a specialist team experience for all Solar and Electrical requirements since 1993, we are often asked various questions about our products and our services. Here are some of the things we are most frequently asked:
What’s the cost of a solar system?
Each Solar system is site specific. Everyone’s power usage is different from another. We do a free proposal and final quotation after a site visit, within 100km range around Gauteng and KZN.
How long does an installation take?
Normally the purchase process takes roughly 1 – 3 working days from the receiving of the deposit payment. Home installations normally take anything between 1 and 5 days. Commercial and industrial sites depend on the size of the installation.
Can I use cheaper Lead-Acid or Gel batteries?
LNE Technologies makes only use of Lithium batteries since Lead-acid and Gel batteries are not reliable enough.
How long does a lithium battery last during loadshedding?
This depends on the battery bank capacity along with the amount of load drawn from the battery. Will be explained in more detail during site visit.
How much savings can I expect from my electrical bill?
Estimated savings are roughly R1000 per month for each set of six PV panels. Solar panels only produce power during the day, thus this production power must be used during the day or stored into batteries for nighttime use.
